How to Apply for a Studio
Thank you for your interest in Cuckoo Farm Studios.
The application selection committee are a group of tenants who meet on a regular basis to discuss applications. Please download the forms and return your application by post to our address marked 'Applications Co-ordinator'.
Your application must include the following:
- Completed Application Form ( applicationform.doc | applicationform.pdf )
- Up to ten slides or photographs of your work. Please label slides / photographs with your name. Do Not Send: glass mounted slides, more than 10 images or original artwork
- A letter of reference by someone who has knowledge of your work
- C.V.
- S.A.E. for the return of your images
Additional Information
Successful applicants will be expected to pay a deposit of 150 GBP, returnable on leaving - against studio condition. The average cost of a studio is 160 GBP per quarter. Rent is paid monthly by standing order, and includes a proportionate amount as service charge to cover electricity, refuse collection etc.
Successful applicants will be expected to join the Colchester Arts Forum.
Cuckoo Farm Studios is run, and exists because of the voluntary input of its tenants.
Cuckoo Farm Studios is a non-profit distributing venture.
We are not commercial start up units, and artists will not be able to retail directly from their studio.
We encourage applications from artists who are determined to forward their personal development, who are forward thinking, and who have a commitment to the arts.
