WHY I HAVE STOPPED BUYING ART MAGAZINES...

I feel they are in general full of the Emperor's New Clothes, I do not appreciate or support the 'type' of 'art' which is peddled and raved about about in these publications, trendy circles, house parties or galleries.

Too much importance is placed on the 'concept' or 'the inner voyage of discovery' that somehow 'references' the everyday struggle to justify someone picking their nose and naming its contents art, usually with a title of such extraordinary bullshit ...  

I get more inspiration from looking - yes, 'looking' at the applied arts and related publications than I ever will from reading, I won't say 'looking' as there's nothing much to look at, today's crop of Fine Art tomes...

I feel I have seen enough good art and shite, to justify and value my own subjective opinions whether these upset pseudo-intellectuals or not....
