Janette Lazell
Profile

London Plane Leaf
My work is inspired by nature and brings together lifelong passions for gardens, design, craft and photography. My sculptural work and photography are based upon observations of nature; form, texture, colour, pattern and the effect of light; reflections and shadows.
My current sculptural work is based upon plants, specifically trees and leaves. I work primarily with metal, mild steel, worked over a forge, and stainless steel woven wirecloth, Design and construction of the work has evolved through my interest in textiles, landscape graphics and horticulture.
