Book 3
STATEMENT:
My work explores some of the qualities of the ‘book’. These book structures and forms analyse the notion of repeat through the unity of paper and metal. I use paper and card to convey visual information rather than readable text. The metal enables this information to exist in three dimensions.
I input creatively into commissions and projects undertaken by Base2 concept design make Ltd, a company run by fellow Cuckoo Farm artist, Peter Jones and myself. Recent commissions have included play equipment for Lowestoft High Street, public seating for Colchester Borough Council and exhibition interactives for firstsite, Colchester.
Along side all of this, I also teach at Colchester School of Art and Design, Colchester Institute.
