Blue Steps Along The Saffron Trail - Report Launch
CFS Studio Holder Lora Aziz invites you to the report launch of ‘Blue Steps along The Saffron Trail’ in Chelmsford, Essex.
Blue Steps: A Living Lab for Nature, Culture and Shared Futures
Report Launch
Join us for a morning of conversation as we launch the Blue Steps report, a project exploring how landscape, water and cultural practice intersect across Essex.
Centred on the 71-mile Saffron Trail, Blue Steps begins with walking but moves into wider questions around rivers, springs, paths and public space as sites for artistic enquiry, connection and ecological attention.
Developed through a process of listening to place, to land, water and the people who live alongside them, the project brings together artists, ecologists and local partners to explore how creative practice can shape more connected and responsive landscapes.
Framed as a living lab for nature, culture and shared futures, the work opens up space for new forms of collaboration, commissioning and site-based practice.
At this launch, we will share material from the feasibility phase, alongside early ideas and invitations for what might come next.
Expect:
A first look at the Blue Steps report
Reflections on artistic and place-based practice
Conversations with artists and collaborators
Opportunities to connect and shape future work
Coffee, tea and informal discussion
Artists, researchers and those working with landscape and environment are especially welcome.
