Open Studios 'Outside' 2021

Save the date: 11am - 5pm Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th September 2021.

Each September, artists at Cuckoo Farm Studios open their workspaces to the public. It is the biggest event of our year, with over 500 visitors during the weekend. With lots to see and do it's a complete day out for the family.

CFS has a long history of opening its doors for Open Studios dating back a significant 22 years with the Colchester and Tendering Open Studios. This year we're holding our own which once again coincides with the Heritage Open Days.

Familiar with our handy flipbooks, this year you can view it digitally with new sections and in more detail. Click here or on the front cover to view it...

This is a once a year opportunity to visit the studios, talk to lots of our different artists & makers, look in their workspaces, buy or commission original art works and find out what we have in store for the year to come.

Refreshments will be available from our Pop-up Tearoom with seating on the White House Lawn.

Outside Workshop & Activity tents as well as Artist tents will be pitched around the site.

Our signature red bunting, made from sailcloth and stitched by our members, will lead you around the site.

Free entry and parking.

Diversions: Boxted Road is closed where it joins the A134 mini roundabout. To find out how to get to us please visit our Contact Us page or follow the official diversions signposted in the area or follow your SatNav.

If you want to meet a specific artist please contact them directly to check that they will be open/available.

Not all members have the facilities to accept card payments, please bring cash or arrange another payment method with the artist.

We are looking forward to welcoming visitors once again to Cuckoo Farm Studios this weekend. Please be aware that the site is an art community situated in what was once a working farm and that the grounds are kept wild in order to support wildlife. This means that away from the designated paths there are brambles, nettles or other hazards. Therefore children must be supervised at all times.

If you are visiting an inside studio please wear a face mask. You will find hand sanitiser at the entrance to each building.

If you or someone you have recently come into contact with is feeling unwell, suspected to have or has tested positive for Covid-19 please do not visit us on this occasion.
